Who We Are
MODO For The People is a physician-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded on April 22, 2023, with one simple belief: everyone deserves access to quality medical care, regardless of income. Our mission is to bring free or low-cost healthcare directly to Maui's underserved communities through mobile medical services. We meet people where they are—on the streets, in shelters, at community centers, or in their own homes—delivering compassionate, accessible care to those who need it most.
Every day, members of our community go without the medical care they need simply because they can't afford it. Your support helps change that.
Every donation allows us to provide free and low-cost medical care, medications, house calls, disaster relief, and mobile healthcare to Maui's most vulnerable residents. Together, we can ensure that quality healthcare is accessible to everyone—regardless of income or circumstance.
Our Medical Services
Preventative healthcare that helps reduce ER overcrowding.
Free Mobile Medical Care – Bringing compassionate medical care directly to houseless individuals and underserved communities across Maui.
House Calls for Kūpuna & Homebound Patients – Providing in-home medical evaluations and treatment for those unable to travel to a clinic.
Telemedicine Consultations – Connecting patients with physicians remotely for follow-up care, medication management, and medical guidance.
Community & Shelter Outreach – Delivering medical care and support at shelters, community centers, and outreach events throughout Maui.
Disaster Response Medical Care – Providing on-site medical assistance, triage, and follow-up care during natural disasters and emergency situations.
Preventive Healthcare Services – Offering health screenings, chronic disease management, and early intervention to help prevent emergency room visits.
Medication Access & Basic Treatments – Providing essential medications, wound care, and acute medical treatment at no cost to those in need.
Care Coordination & Referrals – Connecting patients with specialists, social services, and community resources for ongoing support.
Mental Health & Wellness Support – Helping individuals access compassionate care, counseling resources, and wellness services.
Physician-Led Mobile Healthcare – Meeting patients where they are—on the streets, in shelters, at community events, or in their own homes—because everyone deserves access to quality medical care.
Our Founder
Dr. Reza Danesh, MD
Dr. Reza Danesh (Dr. Rez) is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and founder of MODO Mobile Doctor, bringing over 20 years of experience from leading institutions including UCLA, Cedars-Sinai, and Sollis Health. Specializing in concierge medicine, wellness, and physician-led care, Dr. Rez combines emergency medicine expertise with a modern, personalized approach to healthcare.
